IPTV Box with VPN setup?

Hi, Can anyone help, I am new to IPTV and like so many expats here in Spain now need to buy an android media player to use for streaming some UK TV progs (BBC,ITV, CH4,CH5) but I am a bit unsure if they all have the ability to setup a VPN client, to gain access to ITV Player, BBC Iplayer etc

A Smart DNS will have less impact on your broadband speed than a VPN and is easier to set up.

Before you go down that route I recommend that you use the Filmon app or add-on. Not necessary to hide IP. Get that working first on your Android or other suitable set top box. You can add a VPN/proxy/SmartDNS later.

There is an Android OpenVPN client app although will not work on all Android boxes. If you really must use a VPN probably best to install the client on a router.
