Hi all,

Its a long time since I posted, asking some of the questions I am going to ask again, the discussion got into if my cam could be flashed or not, and left me very confused, I found out how to use the emulation and used that for a while, but have lost the details on how to convert the data to plainkeys.

I decided it would be better to try and program the cards I have again, so here go's with the detail and questions.

I have an Irdeto Allcam 901633 Rev 1.1 F/W 0.07B, a Maximus programmer, both Fun and DS9 cards and Nokia 9800.

The programmer appears to support the cards, but either I have been using the wrong files, or have been doing it wrong.

Firstly can I use 5 in 1 or 6 in 1 files, without modifying the Cam.
Do they have to be special files for the Nokia,
What is a good loader to use for the pic.

I have trawled the site, but cannot find the information to put me on the right track. If I have not got the right Cam or Programmer, tell me and I will have to get replacements.

Thanks in advance

Rolf,

You gave me some help when I was last on, a year or so ago, but I have not got very far. Do I need to start again, with a new cam and programmer, or can I do anything with the above.

Please help, the info which is available in the forum is confusing with the combination I have got.

Thanks

Trikki

Hi Trikki, sorry, missed your first post.

In the CAM menu on your receiver, what options do you have under Goodies and what are they set to?

Rolf,

Thanks for the reply, The details shown on screen are as follows,

Type 0201, State 0300, Nr FCAM2-0018

-------------
Options screen

Debug off

ECM I/BC/S/V/N (which I presume refers to 5 in 1)

There were other options such as Seca/Via or Via or Irdeto but none longer than the above

EMU on (I have been using plainkeys)

If the Cam / Programmer I have is not as flexible or future proof as some of the newer ones, and or they are easier to program please let me know. Or if you think the above should give me a fair range of channels with suitable files.

The programmer is a Maximus using Cardwriter software.

I have read than I should be using a loader program in the pic first then the eeprom and then the pic again, is this correct and possible with the above combination, and or with the Nokia 9800. I would rather start again if the above are not correct. I believe the Cam is only flashable by opening the case, so I do not see this as being an easy option.

Looking at all the files available it is not clear what I should be using.

Sorry for the confusion, but the more I read, the more confused I get.

Thanks

Trikki.

Hi Trikki, the Emu should be off, as that will only Emulate Irdeto/Betacrypt. Thereafter, Emu off, using a Funcard, you will normally only have a Flash and External Eeprom file, the DS9 file will be a straightforward Pic and Eeprom, I believe that Cardwriter writes all at once, but if not, then do the Eeprom first, then the Pic.

Thanks Rolf

Any idea if the Nokia does need particular files and if so what should I be looking for, I realise you cannot be too specific.

Thanks Rolf,

Just those few comments cleared up a number of problems and I managed to program the card ok, but have not yet tried the files you suggested, will be doing that this weekend.

Do you know how the plainkeys are calculated, for the emulator, I had the calculation written down but have lost it.

Will let you know how I get on with the Nokia files

Thanks again

Never used the emulator I'm afraid Trikki, so have never had to do it. I'm sure that there is someone here who will be able to tell you though.

Here's a guide I found long the way, I understood everything but the part where it says "The key index" what those that mean exactly? can someone shed some light?

alecco

"IDIOTS GUIDE TO CREATING FREECAM OPERATING KEYS

If you wish to create freecam keys yourself rather than using one of
the prepackaged calculators heres how.

1.) You need the following information to start with
a.)The provider either 00 or 10
b.)The key index like 02
c.)The plain key in hex format

2.) Tools
a.) a scentific calulator

3.) Our example here will be Canal+1 Netherlands
a.) The Provider 00
b.) The key index 02
c.) The plain key 98 09 7d 7a aa 17 51 9e

4.) First we set our scentific calculator to HEX format, then we enter
our provider which is 00, now press the DEC button to convert to
decimal, this will give the result 0

5.) Next is the key index, follow the proccess as before, set the
calculator to HEX enter 02 and press the DEC button to convert to
decimal the result should be 2

6.) Repeat the same process for the plain key one byte at a time
(a byte is the first section of code i,e 98)
98 hex converted to dec = 152
09 hex converted to dec = 9
7d hex converted to dec = 125
7a hex converted to dec = 122
aa hex converted to dec = 170
17 hex converted to dec = 23
51 hex converted to dec = 81
9e hex converted to dec = 158

7.) We now have a complete string including the provider, index key
& plain key that looks like this:-
0 2 152 9 125 122 170 23 81 158, however this is not yet complete
we know that to use codes in freecam they are in sets of 3 so all we
need do now is add 0's in front of any sets that don't have 3 numbers
in. Therefore where the first set is 0 we add 00 to it to make 000
in the second set where the set is 2 we add 00 in front to make 002
The next set has 3 numbers already 152 so we need not touch this.
Continue through all the sets until each one contains 3 digits.

8.) The final result should look like this:-
000 002 152 009 125 122 170 023 081 158
That is your completed freecam code for canal Digital, provider 00
key index 02

It's obviously alot quicker to use a calculator such as Omnikalk, but
i thought it worthwhile to explain the longhand method of the key creation.
