National broadcasters in many countries around the world are feeling the pinch these days. They are caught between a rock and a hard place. Who is willing to wait for six Tuesdays in a row at 9pm to watch what can be seen in one six hour box set binge. Terrestrial TV is dying a slow death. I imagine costs at the BBC are gone through the roof with little or no return in sight. Once quality fibre optic becomes the norm worldwide I imagine sat tv will follow suit and with it most of the old reliable TV stations. Amateur back bedroom broadcasting is within reach of many now and who knows what channels we will be watching I’m years to come if we are still around to watch them.
