My Satellite Setup
Dreambox 8000 HD,
80cm Orbital Satellite Dish
Motorized
LNB with 2 outputs, 2nd output leading to upstairs and using Dreambox 500S.
Pioneer VSX-1018AH-K Amp/Receiver,
My Location
Stockton-on-Tees, Cleveland
I have a twin LNB on an 80cm motorised dish going to my Dreambox 500S (downstairs)
I have a 2nd cable going from the LNB into my bedroom (upstairs) currently experimenting with various receivers untill I get the new Dreambox and hoping to have the dreambox I have downstairs up in my bedroom..

alongside this I have a SKY minidish connected to a digibox (downstairs) which I rarely use the digibox (why would I when I have a Dreambox, lol)

My question is.. when I want to watch foreign TV upstairs is there a way of looping the SKY minidish (which is fixed to SKY) to the dreambox so that anyone downstairs can still watch SKY but through the Dreambox whilst I watch foreign TV (upstairs) using my 80cm dish??

what do I need to do?? what will I need??

Sorry, it won't work properly.

The Dreambox (if it has a loopthrough) will probably take priority over the Digibox as the LNB can only supply either horizontal OR vertical and either low OR high band - not both.

It may work the other way where the Digibox takes over - either way it'll be a headache. The best solution is to replace the twin LNB with a Quad and run an extra cable.
