The image is not hosted here so it’s not taking up the forums bandwidth…

It may be a bit big for those with a dialup connection, it's 34K, so bigger than most of the animated avatar gifs.

Yea, my main worry is that it’s a bit intrusive also, will try resizing it and recompress it soon.

LOL take it you don't like my sig then kalamar.

The one I use now is actually the shrunk one, the original one was half as wide again I think.

It's now down to 7KB so I think the file size is reasonable, but I’m still not sure about the actual image size, I thought of reducing it to the length of the bar under each post, might try that sometime when I get a moment, wait I’m on holiday, I should have nothing but time for things like that, well perhaps later today I will...

Well I shrunk it down to the size of the bar today, but it still didn't look right.

Anyone have any ideas? Smaller? Bigger? Leave it alone? Scrap the whole thing?

its fine with me ,I wuz just jokin I see its 263X52 pixels now ,what bar is you talkin about me no see the bar
I wuz playin with it yesterday or whenever and noticed that it goes too small in the vertical size when you try to reduce the length, dont know how it would look if the aspect ratio was changed ! I got a good free prog for playing with these kind of things its called Ultimate FX you got that one ?

It was made in Photoshop originally, but I only have Corel Draw here at the moment, so have been trying to play around with that.

I downloaded Ultimate FX and for a free app its looks impressive, might have a play around with that also.

The bar I was talking about is the line above the image here:
bar.jpg

This is the image resized to fit it with the same aspect ratio:

polomint_bar_maintain.jpg

And like you suggested without maintaining aspect ratio, I look the vertical down by 10% as it looked too out of proportion otherwise:

under_bar.jpg

But I think that the text is not good at that size, if I had the original photoshop files here I could redo that, perhaps making PoloMint smaller also, I could always start over with a new image.

This is a nice size, but may be too big a file size.

The width of the post was originally I was intending to go for rolf, long and not too high so as not to be too intrusive to the thread but be completely underneath the posts. But for whatever reason I never got round to trying it that size, looks like it might be worth a go. As long as it's under 10KB I thought it should be OK even for slow connections.

What resolution are you running at waverider? I don’t think it should be off the screen, especially at its current size, how does the rest of the forum look?
