Hi, just planing ahead for car-casing a house & hoping for an answer on 2 questions?
1. Is Webro WF100 coax ok to use for everything, IE: Sat/FM/DaB/Digital TV aerial ?
2. We also aim to have a mobile phone aerial on the roof & woundered if this was
ok to fit the the main mast, or should we fit it away from other aerials. This will
also be a different type of coax.

Thanks,

Chris.

It's perfect!

Fit it away. Low band mobile phone frequencies start where the TV frequencies finish. Even if there's no direct interference a strong signal could cause "blocking" of your desired signal.

Yes fit the repeater else where. GSM frequency bands are as low as 900Mhz.

Hi Paul, thanks for the quick reply.
We are aiming to have quite a large central cupboard for all the sound & TV & CCTV systems. I am assuming that to future proof things we will be running 1 cable to each aerial & allowing 4 to the sat dish all back to this central cupboard area.
Then from here we will run 1 WF100 to each of the 8 tv/fm/dab outlets along with 2 cat5 cables to each one. (The cctv will only have 1 cat 5 to each for 12 volt power) Do you think this sounds about right.

Cheers.

I'd run 2 x wf100 feeds to rooms for pvr receivers if needed.

Hi Satelliteman, could be a good point. But one of the things we are looking at is possibly having a 1-2TB media centre in the central cupboard for recording & piping this down the House computer network with _http://www.dclstore.co.uk/desc-western-digital-wd-tv-v2-digital-media-player-mpegwmv9xvid-avch.264isomkvdts-downmix-via-usb-wdbabg0000nbk-eesn-pid-9665.aspx that allows lots of access without the computer & straight to the TV.

Looks good although future proofing with 2 feeds in some rooms might do well.

Had to drop the live url link as your post went into a moderation queue. Outbound links are not permitted :)

Totally agree with routing 2 feeds to each outlet. I've heard that Sky are going to phase out single feed digiboxes, so multiroom boxes will be skyplus/skyHd.

Another good reason is that if you were to sell your house in the future it would make it more attractive to a buyer if it had the facility for PVR plus in each room without the need to run external cabling.

Oh! forgot to mention that it would be a good idea to install a telephone connection by each outlet
cos it's a requirement of sky multiroom :)
