Where is a good/reputable place to get a Sky Italia card? Is TVcorner any good? Do they come pre-activated? What is the renewal fee?

Will CCCam update entitlements on Linux STB, or should I use in original Sky box?

I got my italia card off eBay, only has the calcio channels and entertainment stuff on it though.

I use it in the small official hd receiver but I think you can use it in a Linux box but not sure what cam to use.

Try ebay member italy_shop700 I've had a few cards from him, always spot on. Not heard anything bad about TVCorner though. You will need the sky italia box to update the card correctly, and activate the card. They don't usually comne pre-activated. OSCAM is the way to go to read the card in Linux.

I've run 093b and 09CD cards under OSCAM, they are fine so long as you don't try and update them with it, and your not C/Sing outside a local network. It's very easy for sky to get the card numbers and block them if your sharing a card with random people off forums etc.

Any other places for cards other than TVCorner??

Oscam config...where the hell do I find a working config? I tried to use the OScam config creator, but it's still Greek to me...image, provider...I use what I think is a popular image(HDFreaks) but it's not listed in the config creator???? Provider either????

Nope, absolutely not.

a) sky UK boxes are programmed for the UK channel lists from transponders on 28e, where as italia recievers are programmed for 13e
sky uk recievers are programmed to read caids 0961 and 0963, Italia 0919, 093B and 09CD, you may as well stick a viaccess card in a uk reciever it will do just as much good.

The best thing to do is to get hold of a pace italia box to read your card.

You can use OSCam but your run the risk of the card getting killed. From what i can gather regular updates in the Sky Italia box reduce the risk of getting 9995 error, but it doesn't eliminate it. I ran my cards for six months updating then every ten days with no issues.

As soon as i stopped regular updates three weeks later it got the 9995 error. Fortunately the cards were over three weeks past when they should have deactivated so it wasn't a major issue to me.

I got the Italia card, it's working fine in the original box, and cc*am is reading it fine in Linux STB also, but....

I can't get the entitlements to update in the original box, i.e. I updated the software on the original box >> left card in original box overnight (box turned on) >> swapped to Linux STB >> cc*cam reads card fine, but entitlements have not updated >> swapped card back to original box > original box and cc*am both read card fine????

The entitlements are currently valid until 3rd week in Jan 2013.

Does the original box have to be turned off or on to receive/get entitlement updates on card? Approximately how long do I need to leave it in the original box to receive/get entitlement updates?

If you leave your card in your Linux box running CCCam you will end up killing the card (9995 Error).

You need to run the card in OSCam with blockers on and with the correct ECM white list to minimize the risk of getting 9995. it is also recommended you switch off reshare.

I used to put mine on one of the subscription channels the card had entitlements for and left in the Sky box overnight. It was always updated by the morning. It doesn't happen in minutes, it can sometimes take a few hours at least.

On my Entertainment card i left it on Sky Uno and for the documentary card i left it on Discovery. Worked every time.

I have left it in the original box overnight again, and still no entitlement updates according to CC*am?? I only put it in Linux box for maybe 30 sec. to check entitlement status, card still working fine in both boxes.

Maybe it's my dish/LNB set-up?

I have two sats - 28E and 13E via a Diseqc switch. When I use the original Sky Italia STB, I use a loopthrough cable from output of tuner on ET9X00 to LNB input of Sky box >> turn off ET9X00 >> I can view channels on Sky box fine by this method. Could this be my entitlement update problem?

I have left cadrd in Sky box overnight with ET9X00 both on and off with same result: no card update??
Does it matter if the Sky box is on or off for the entitlement updates?

I'm using a hardware card blocker in the internal slot of ET9X00, then placing card in blocker, which is working fine to read card via CC*am 2.2.1. Has anyone heard of these? I got it from Italy, but I Googled the heck out of it and can't find any info on it in English to find out the particulars. Will this prevent the error 9995??

What exactly is the 9995 error???

I tried Osc*m tonight, after a boatload of reading!!!! I can't get the server set up correctly.

Question...on the Linux STB >> Osc*m status/setup >> server IP, what IP goes here? My Linux STB IP address?? When I access server status in this menu...connection refused is displayed. Do I have to use Newcamd if I'm using DVAPI?

my sky italia box updates my card fine with it in standby and i've not had any problems.

when you use loop through make sure the primary box is in standby e.g your et9x00 and then switch on the italia box.

I think updates doesnt matter whether its in standby or not as i've had the yellow led for a message when the box has been in standby.

how many ports is the diseqc switch as i'm sure i saw diseqc switch options in one of the menus and you could connect the receiver straight to the switch.

you need to ask the seller what other channels you get alongside the 14 calcio channels.

The card will run out September 2013 so about 9 months left on it.
