ive noticed that the bearing "ring" at the end of my 36" jack has come out - do they just press in? seems an odd one to me.
is this a common fault?

I,v had this happen with - Superjacks - ... if its not damaged , de - grease it and push it back in after applying some superglue :-)

I had one completely break up ... and had to create a replacement using filler paste ....

I didn't mention whch one, the issue is the same, the bearing will loosen and fall out unless certain actuators are under near continuous compression.
