Hello All,

So I got the 88:88 !
Using Wall and Jkeys, I try to erase and load a new .bin, but no success.
First I erase the chip' datas. Every time I tryied to load a new .bin,
it is said that the flash is not blank.
So I downloaded from the STB the .bin file and read it with an HEX
reader (TextPad) to verify everything was FF FF FF ........FF) and by
the way everything actually is FF FF FF....FF.
So I think I can believe that the flash is zeroed!
So why cannot I load a new .bin file ? Why does Jkeys tells me that
the flash is not blank ?

Thanks for any suggestion.
Have a nice TV watch.

Hi mate

I used to remove atmels to read boxkey and IRD from Pace boxes and used to have this 88:88 message.

If all else fail, wou may consider buying a gas soldering iron and heat the solder pads of the atmel chip (flash chip). Use some flux to make the solder flow on the legs and the pad.

It might work. Dry solder joint may cause this problem.

Cheers and be careful ;)
