Yes, I got a nice new 3G Kindle for Xmas. I'm very pleased with it. Easy to view, controls fairly pleasant to use and above all very readable. I've got half way through 'Oliver Twist' and have some John Steinbeck and Mark Twain to follow. Even the 3G works providing I visit the upstairs bathroom, stand on tiptoe and whistle the first two bars of the French national anthem. I've bought a leather cover for it to prevent feline claws from investigating the durability of the screen. So, what's the grumble??
It is charged via a USB connection to the computer. No problem there. But, the plug that goes into the Kindle is yet another different type of USB mini plug!!! Why can't they standardise these things? It just means that if the lead goes faulty or gets damaged I probably have to source yet another lead from Amazon. Humbug anyone??
