Labgear HDU681 & TVLink Incompatible?

Hi,

I have fitted a Labgear HDU681 distribution amplifier in the loft. Since this has infra-red pass through I assumed my existing tvLINK's would be suitable to control the remote TV's.

The tvLINK LED is on and the picture on the remote TV's is excellent. I cannot however control the Sky+ box remotely?

Is the tvLINK incompatible with the Labgear amplifier?

I believe that the links are compatible, in fact I would be surprised if a manufacturer made a unit which was not compatible.

Have you got the feed coming from outlet 2 on the digibox?

Yes - that is the first thing I checked.

I have established the tvLINK is OK as I connected it directly to the Sky+ box and the IR functions correctly. If I connect the uplink cable to the cable feeding the room with the remote tv using a f-barrel connector the IR on the tvLINK functions fine?

Strange, I haven't used one of these, I stopped using Labgear when my wholesalers stopped stocking it after the company ceased trading. Tried looking at the available PDFs which would suggest that it hsould be OK, but only refers to the Lagear eyes.

I fixed the problem

There must have been a faulty "F" or coax connector as I replaced all of the connectors with Snap-N-Seal "F" connectors using my Augat IT-1000 and the tvLINK is now working fine
