My Satellite Setup
Some SAT-related hardware.

I was in one satellite shop today (I mean real shop, not online one). Asked them whether they have flanged LNBs available. And there is one, the really last one (not any more expected). They ask for this 22 EUR. So, if somebody is interested, let me know and I will help with the purchase.

It looks very Zinwell.

I have a few here, though not 0.5dB.

If you want new flanged LNBs you must look at the professional market, but the prices are massively higher.

I used to use my Invacom QDF031 with a Channel Master KU feedhorn on the SMW dish. A heavy combination, but a respectable performance (0.3db quoted).
Might dig it out and see how it performs against IBUs etc.

Not true, they are available, but you have to search them out.

What is the benefit we can expect from a flanged LNB versus a non-flanged one?
and why is it becoming rare nowadays?

It allows a matched feed for the installed parabolic dish, something the LNBF only does in some cases.
