I'm fed up removing the 1/4 wave plate and re-inserting it all the time to switch between circular and linear so I'm going to get another LNB. Any recommendations? Current LNB is a Zinwell.

You seem to be getting good results on your setup with your Zinwell --why not use another one of those ? ---

Ralph you're mistaken. Everything in that part of the arc, apart from Paksat is circular polarisation.

hello,
circular polarisation refers to right hand and left hand .
that means there is a diletric plate in every lnb sold in italy and europe.
i have never sean a diletric plate in any ku band here.i have opened up a lot of them.
none of the satellite books refer to right or left polaisation.
i have seen some in c band.if i understand he is trying to receive c band??
