pc HP with Pentium 4 dual core with Ubuntu os

Lookin to up grade my Comag sl 55 to receive more free channels if possible ,what soft do i need to down load,what cable do i need ,instruction etc

You don't really need to "upgrade" in terms of software. Patching, even if possible with that box, is a largely pointless exercise these days owing to significant improvements in Encryption security.

So, for FTA Channels, all you need do is either carry out Auto Scans on the Satellite(s) of interest or to manually correlate your Transponder Lists with those published as up to date on eg Flysat, Lyngsat or KingofSat.
