Hi There...
After few hours of reading I think I have found all the info I need except a couple of things. Pardon the ignorance if its already been answered but its 1am and I been reading for too long :).. Anyhoots I have a dreambox and original ABS-CBN Filipino Card ( I am in NA, CANADA so I point the dish to the 97 T5 Sat ) My son got a hold of the card and snapped it.. The card still works in the receiver but its days are coming to and end.. the bastards at the TFC want 150US for card replacement. My question is if Pickup the MM 1.04 with programmer from satellites.co.uk will I be able to make a clone of my original card and run it ?

The original card is I2.

thanks

iM

What you are proposing I do not think would work. If it was that easy to clone a card then everyone would be doing it and there would hardly be any challenge involved in this hobby.
As you still have the original card the possible solution I have is the following and I invite anyone who uses a Dragon to confirm/correct me on this. If I am not mistaken the damaged card could be cut down to the same size card as in your mobile phone which we refer to as a SIM card. This would have to be done accurately, then you would have to purchase a Dragon Cam which I understand has a SIM card slot like a mobile built into it. The Cam would have to be programmed and only a Dragon user could advise you on that. I have included a picture of the cam for you to see the slot. That would leave you with a slot for another card whatever you wanted. As I said it is only a suggestion.........

What do you mean 'its days are coming to an end'?

If it works why not leave it working until the release a new card?

Thanks guys for replies. The card is snapped and hanging on a few threads of plastic film. I have the original I2 receiver as well as DB. I take the card out sometimes if I want to watch it upstairs and since they want 150$ us just for card replacement i thought that MM option or Dragon Cam would be better for me as they work with I2.

Thanks M8s
