[QUOTE="Boatahome, post: 772911, member: 353735"] Hello all Teleco Magisat 2002 users Boatahome here again, I have found out a little more about the problems we have all been having (and I am still having) with our Teleco Magisat 2002's, it seems that the dish searches and when finally locking onto a particular satellite checks several frequencies (criteria) of that satellite before deciding that is the particular satellite that the user wanted, if any of the criteria are wrong it will go on and on searching, well it seems that there is another way that the dish will lock onto a particular satellite it is called NID (Network IDentification) it seems it is a more reliable way of our dishes finding what we want without having to check all of that complicated criteria that the owners of Astra can and do change any time if they deem it necessary, apparently the NID always stays the same, yes you guessed it there is a downside to all of this, our original Teleco 2002 control boxes cannot be used to find a satellite by NID, it requires a newer smaller control box that with the supplied leads will patch into all the existing leads from the 2002 dish, you will now also need the new wall mounted satellite selector panel (very neat) that does away with the old remote control, this is all well illustated in the Teleco 2011 catalogue on Page 7, of course this all does not come cheap (£800 to £900) but cheaper than a complete system if your original dish is working well, food for thought, I thought I would like to keep you up with the news as I have heard and understood it.
