Hi All,i Have A Manhattan Starlight 6900 Untouched, Other Than The Latest Firmware From Manhattan Site, It Is Motorised With 1 Meter Dish
It Works Perfectly, question Is, I Have Been Told That I Can Patch It?(with What?,how?,where From? What Will This Do?) I Think Its Embbeded Via?,can This Be Updated If How ?i Do Use A Matrix Revolutions Cam ,also It Shows Only Hotbird 1-5 Can This Be Updated With New Sats Automatically?

At The Moment I Not Sure If This Is Worth Bothering With, Or To Just Invest In A New Receiver,i Was Wondering About Pvr Hard Drive Types, blind Search? And Motorised But Not Too Expensive.what Is The Would Be Ideal Setup Receiver, cam That Both Could Be Upgraded Easy In The Future.sorry For All The Questions.

Thanks In Advance

hello

i see that your from my 'neck of the woods'

i suggest that you upgrade.
i used to own a manny 6800 then i upgraded to the manhattan plaza st500
which has an inbult postioner.
technomate 1500 are supported well and the stb are very well priced.

i would recommend a upgrade as the old manhattan stb support are zilch.

:)

I wouldn't bother right now. My advice would be to sit tight until at least there is some movement in the scene. Not much is open at the moment, so a new STB isn't going to do much for you that you can't already get.

Wait a few weeks until the football season is well underway. That might help motivate the tech-heads to spring a new package or two open :)
