As the title suggests, I kindly ask you to holders of mesh dishes if they could indicate the size of the "rumble" or "square" mesh it is made of the surface of their dishes.

Somewhere it is suggested for the C band not to go beyond the 6mm x 6mm while the ideal for Ku-band are not go beyond the 2.8mm x 2.8mm (taking into account the formula not planning to go down more than one tenth of the length wave).

Because the views are slightly discordant, who better than a holder of this type of dish can point with certainty ?? Thank you in advance as to who provides me with the measures ;)

I can`t find a ruler to measure the spare mesh dish that I have in the basement but the squares are extremely small and suitable for ku band reception as well. As a rule of thumb here in North America we take a pencil to a dish survey site to ensure that it is adequate for ku band as well. If only the tip of the pencil fits then it meets the requirements. There have been several that I have seen with squares at least 4 times that size and they are meant to be used on c band only.

First of all thank you Costactc for your contribution to my request.

Since I plan to increase the diameter of my antenna especially to improve the reception of C band, I needed some certainty on the mesh size as the party to whom I addressed offers in its catalog a huge amount of models and sizes beyond that of the material with which the mesh is made (steel, aluminum, etc)

Here is a old installers trick, if you can fit a #2 wood pencil through the mesh it's too big to be used for kU band.

A normal C/kU band dish mesh size is about 3/16" of an inch to a max of about a 1/4", or for you metric guys, about 4.75mm to 6.3mm, the bigger the mesh size the less signal on kU band.

This is what we have inside of our plastic dishes (like CM, Prodelin and others). Mesh about 1,5-2mm
