I have a PANSAT 2700A and a DISH PRO 500
My Location
IRAQ
Can I get some of these English speaking stations including mature content over in Iraq?:confused
Also what is the best receiver to get. I'm willing to pay. Tell me the cheapest way and then tell me the way that is garaunteed to work but cost substantially more.

The problem you have is satellite reception is not an exact science and the theory does not always match the reality. Thus we rely on reports and feedback from people who are in a fixed position for some time, where you are heading the movement of people in and out requesting this that and the other means that we do not have a constant source of reliable information available. We often do not get any feedback as they do not stay long enough. This is a predominantly European forum whilst we do have some members based in the Middle East you may have to wait a bit for their input. Whilst you are waiting why don't you use the powerful forum search and input Iraq and read the threads available, you may pick up some useful pointers along the way as to what is the norm out there.

One thing I can tell you is that unless you buy a subscription there are no guarantees with this hobby

If you are after free watch, then don't read the rest of this post.

Showtime package smartcard from Nilesat 7W might be your best choice since they sell it really cheap in Iraq (maybe because there is no VAT system in Iraq ?). People in Europe would pay three times the price because the card can only be sold in the ME and they would need dish size 2.4m or larger.

You would need a good receiver like the DreamBox models 500S or better
Also an Irdeto CI Cam for the showtime package.

For the adult stuff, there are loads of channels on Hot Bird 13E

Go for a good quality 24/7 smartcard such as Spice and choose the right encryption for your CI CAM if you buy it.
