Maplins do one, item QT40T, ok for light to medium loads, I suppose (45kg).

Otherwise check out amateur radio sites for more heavyweight rotors.

Nevada do a range (some pretty expensive though) -

Don't do what I did when running the cable - leave enough slack for a 360 degree turn to avoid stretching it :-doh!

Get out and turn it. Dont forget you also have to install two antennas, one for Horizontal and one for vertical polarisations.

If it is anything like the UK, the vast majority of transmitters are horizontally polarised, the vertical ones being very low power, for local infill only.

Not a bad idea,I love homebrewed stuff!

Thank's all for your answers,I have to think about this for a couple of weeks and see what channels will be available in my part of Sweden.

Guess I can get the Danish channels with a sensitive receiver down here ,we'll see...

That's Maplins for you. Item no. taken from their latest catalogue, no trace of it online. Even 'Antenna Rotator' (name of said item in catalogue)) doesn't yield a result.

NB Ithink it's the same as the cheaper one at Nevada.

Which part of Sweden ?

Someone here should be able to pinpoint the transmitters that are local to you to narrow down the choices of equipment you may need.

Saw this thread when searching another one.
In northern Sweden you can actually use these rotators for dishes because el. is almost the same on astra-sirius. Having said that a lot of foreigners sell these in their stores, I think you know what stores I mean.
Remembering correctly I saw one for 300kr a few years ago, this one was imported from Germany. A friend of mine has one and it operates good even in -25 celcius but sounded strange from the controller.
