Just wondering what the black rubber brace is called which this installer uses to swing the dish round so easily on the horizontal.
I have never seen these before, are they widely available?

Never seen that before (maybe an Aussie thing?) . However, I usually install a large jubilee clip on the pole under the dish or motor mount, which allows you to swing the dish and/or motor round quite easily.

A little less analogue, and a lot more crap.

Whilst not plastic/rubber you could use a V-band clamp for exhaust joins.

IRTE had/have a polarmount that has a brace of holes, allowing a bolt through to keep everything at the top of the pole during alignment.

Putting a small drill bit through the holes worked just as well until everything was clamped up.

Somewhere in England (possibly?)!

I and many others so the same as it makes life a lot easier/quicker - especially with the larger dishes.

Are jubilee clips in conjunction with u bolts and or v-clamps, I would have thought jubilee clips would be too thin for these to sit on top or am I getting confused, does anyone have a photo?

Just an ordinary jubilee clip and I've not had any issues, both with fixed and motor set ups. A munson clamp would probably do too (used in plumbing to support pipework onto walls). Currently, I have an old multi sat LNB holder on the mast to do the same job. Car silencer clamps too, I guess the list would be quite exhaustive.....sorry...

The jubilee clip is simply located, quite tightly, around the pole/mast and immediately below the clamp that holds the motor/dish to the mast such that when you very slightly loosen the bolts on the latter to allow it to be swiveled to realign the motor/dish, it prevents the latter sliding down the pole - that's all it does, and it does that very well :D.
