Please help i have a standard SKY Digital
I had it installed at my home in Manchester, this week i have moved to Salisbury and i want to know anything i have to do to get it working any tips or advice. Cant live without it not even for one night.


Please help

Hello

I've not yet put the dish on the wall

But i have noticed that everyone else on the street looks to have a totally different LNB bigger then mine

That shouldn't matter Fin, it will just be one of the new universal mount LNBs. Your first step is to get it up onto the wall, neighbours' dishes should give you a guide on placing and direction. It must have a clear line of sight to the satellite, no trees etc in the way.

I have seen the picture of the UK showing the angle it needs to be set at, and i have next doors to look for the direction. I was just wondering when on the signal test does it change in say real time or do you have to move it and leave it few seconds?

A couple of seconds should do it, if you have a long aerial lead onto a portable TV it will make life easier, as you will be able to see it from the dish.

Going to try it tonight if this weather does'nt changes i think i will be having a friend sat in the dry watching it for me and i will be getting wet.
Should be the other way round i know.
