The order you write is the one I prefer: Rec-Mot-Switch-LNBs. No problems there. This is not really a diseqc cascade, as the motor has an internal loop-through for all the signals passing it (just a tap inside, to tap off the needed motor-commands, and the motor voltage). So in fact that is a parallel diseqc setup, not a serial setup. When you need more than a diseqc 1.0 (or 2.0) 4/1 switch, and your receiver supports also diseqc 1.1 (or 2.1), then there is no need for an "automatic" diseqc 1.2 switch like the AXING (or identical: HAMA) switch that you mention. In fact, with that switch you would lose the motor-commands GotoPos1 to 7 to ports 1-7 of the switch, so not available to the motor anymore. It took me some time to find that out, after some switching that didn't go as I thought it would go... As with any of these "smart" devices: They do what they 'should' do, but you need to really study what they are programmed to do...! (And check if these are functions you want...) I believe the EMP switches don't automatically choose diseqc 1.2, but you have to use dip-switches to determine the diseqc-mode you want? That is good, I find. Here's a little text about 'numbers': lnb skew astra 2e -21deg skew Greetz, A33
