My poor dish is getting a right battering at the moment - still in alignment but wobbles enough to pixelate the image.
Spoke too soon. Signal totally gone on the 1.8m... though the dish is still in place. T90 is providing backup...

this will make you laugh, around 5pm, all the wobbling about my 1.8 took today, the nut holding the end of the jack worked itself free and dish went flopping to the east! CRASHHHHHH!

it could only happen to me.

and there was my 24" QARL sitting on the kitchen table - if only i'd had one more day (to fit it) - still, no damage to dish. could be worse.

she's fine! shes already had a hole though her - nothing a bit of fibre glass repair couldnt fix.
the polar mount bracket holding the dish hits the pole first before the dish does luckily.

Fitted the 24inch jack today - and after some tinkering with dish angle and motor - i am now fully tracking the ARC!!!!!
I moved it to the left side and will keep it left as its full closed on 45east at the mo - and will keep it there due to the pending storms.

FINALLY!!!!!

oh, and my pole is vindicated......

You may have already used it but if the Chinasat radio station is still active on 45.0 West in Ku-Band it will allow you to check the Western arc beyond 30.0 West.

45.0 West will be a good marker for your C-Band from 40.5W, 47.5W and 55.5W. I am not sure if you will get anything from 43.1W or 45.0W in C-Band with a 1.8m dish?
The local area inside the southern half of the M25 seems to be a decent zone for some of the fringe beams in Ku-Band and C-Band so you could get lucky with 43.1W and 45.0W C-Band?

anything in particular...?
How about 7°E 7B Europe B beam transponders? IIRC you were able to lock the BBC Persia Tp on your 1.2m.
