Just Sharing This My Channel Master 1.8 project.

or is there an inline filter available i could try, or does anyone know of a CBAND LNB with a 3G/4G/5G filter built in ?

Video here:

Have you ruled out receiver and telly, as causes for the 'faults'?
As quality level stays pretty constant, I'm not sure if dish and/or LNB would be the cause....

yes, i mentioned in previous post, the same thing happens direct from LNB to signal meter (which has TV viewing built in)

just run it through my Octagon SF8008 - it read 10db approx - i deffo think the LNB is faulty or interference.....

55.5W is quite low in the Sky, if there are any mobile phone towers or anything similar close by you could be picking up some type of interference.
What type of meter do you have, if it is capable of producing a real time spectrum it might be able to detect interference?

Hmm - Odd problem ... just been having a look at that channel .... and others on 55.5 West ... No issues here - channels are running smooth with no dropouts on DRHD F15 receiver .

Just ran the frequency 4174 H here also nelson in North Notts and all is running smooth with the transmission :Y.

I've taken a punt and ordered a tit from USA....fingers crossed.

CBAND guys - can you please give me the lowest and highest DB TP's from 55w....it looks for me for me that CGTN is high (10db) and Canel11 is low (6db) - hard to tell with the constant interference.

Hi -
I have 10.7 db on CGTN .... and 7.0 db on Canal 11 ... . from offset linear l.nb. on 2.4 C.M.

thanks @nelson_b - interesting as similar to what im reading in between drops.

Yes - The l.n.b. is quite widely offset due to the K/U sub - reflector so giving similar results to a 1.8 dish.

I'll have a look in a second or two - busy chasing a couple of signals on 7 East Ka at the moment.
*One thing to bare in mind re: readings and levels from different people in the UK for instance - the published footprint does not give you a true indication of things, for example - me and Chris (scopus) are in the Midlands, Nelson is way up North from us & moonbase is in the South like yourself. We three have found out many moons ago that the reception signal strength in da South is better, for us in the Midlands it is slightly lower and for Nelson it get's a bit lower again. Don't get fooled thinkin your 1.8 is performing like a 2.4 O/S cos it 'aint , it's just that Nelson needs a 2.4 to get the similar levels to you on a 1.8 down South. There are other factors that make up individuals reception results but that's another story.
I'll have a gander for you now on 55 W.
** I see Nelson alluded to it whilst i was typing

thanks @John - i realise that - i didnt expect my dish was performing like a 2.4cm just because it has been blessed by the local vicar, or because its painted green.

:)

Bless you my child - hopping onto 55 W now
