FWIW, personally, I really doubt that it's a "custom" bolt - why would a small-volume manufacturer spend time & money on a "basic" component when it could buy something similar off the shelf?. Thus should easy to find a replacement, and a careful search on eBay should throw up something suitable (I've found components and hardware on there that I never dreamed even existed!)Code:https://www.haguefasteners.co.uk/custom-fasteners/
Never used them, won't be cheap but they will do a single custom bolt.
If you measure the bolt you may get lucky and find something off the shelf, motorbike axle bolts look similar? The bolt 'grade' should be on the head of your old one, make sure to at least match it.
I should think some unistrut studding would be ideal with a couple of nuts..i need to get a replica bolt.
its a 1990's USA channel master original bolt, and therefore imperial - its 160mm long, with a 12.5mm thickness with a 19mm head.
Might do the job 1/2" UNF Zinc Plated Steel Hex Head Bolts With Shanki need to get a replica bolt.

The 6.5 inch long one should do the trick! (+a nut of course!)Might do the job 1/2" UNF Zinc Plated Steel Hex Head Bolts With Shank
The only critical dimensions are diameter and length!
Girth for mirth, length for strength.
Problem is the total length is ok but the threaded part is too long .
Not necessarily - he would just need to slightly grind/sand down any part of the thread that would be in the dish mount swivel - and then thoroughly clean and grease that swivelling section.Problem is the total length is ok but the threaded part is too long .
You must buy a much longer bolt so the shaft is equal to the original and cut the overlength
