Good day, is there any person with a good technical knowledge on the forum, to help me solve a problem that Sky [ NASN ] cannot appear tp solve. I own a Sky digital receiver,Sony VTX-S760U, it is my own receiver, I do not have a subcription to Sky, however I did have one of the FTA Sky cards issued for the BBC, Itv channels. On the 9th April I took out a subcription to NASN, with various problems [ at the other end I know not what ] I did not receive the card until April19th. I put the card in the receiver [ the right way up ], and then called the NASN customer services to activate the card. At that time in Systems set up, it did not show any card number, they told me it would take up to two hours to activate, after 2hrs and 15 mins nothing had happened, and to cut a long story as short as possible, the receiver was switched off, switched on, card in, card out turned it upside down etc, still no card number nor was card activated. I was then sent a new card, which arrived on saturday. But still not activated or card number showing. The card slot is reading the cards, because when I put the old Sky FTA card in the number appears in the space on screen. Anyone know whats wrong I am going mad. Sky [ NASN ] don't appear to have a clue. The software on this box is showing as 2.8b and wonder if this is the cause, someone kindly gave me instructions on how to do a force download, by holding the Backup button on the remote, then unplugging for 30 secs and still holding the B/U button reconnecting, but it did not happen for me. NASN, are in the process of sending me a third card. Sorry for the long post, thank you.
