Need help with my linksat-ls900

i live in ksa
i have bought one linksat LS900 from one of my friend who was using it before
know the problem is that not even a single $ marked channel is working
i searched on google about this problem and came to know that the software should be updated so i went to system information and got this information :- BT: 1.34 SW v1.32 K62

then i went ti internet S/W upgrade and tried to download new software but it failed to connect the server

so then i connect the box to my pc with the rs 232c cable open the uploaded which i found in one of the post of this site

when i open the uploaded and select the the file to be uploaded and the com when i click start download it asked to reboot the box when i press ok the software freezes

need help if i wont be able to do this then i wood be in a big loss plzzzzzzzz help me
