Small update on my issue.
The dish started moving again on Monday night when I checked so I thought that all was good.

Had a flick about last night and the dish is now stuck swung around @ 52e after checking on the 'broadcasts' of the football.
So a TM2600 was purchased from WOS there and then.

Thanks for the recommendations CH and TJ

You may only need to reset your motor:-
Select DiSEqC 1.2 then delete limits & recalculate now select USALS DiSEqC 1.3 & your motor will respond if not try to delete limit & reset the system this can only work in DiSEqC 1.2 then revert back to USALS.

New motor arrived and switched out for the old one.
Small bit of tweaking before the rain hit and back up and running again.
Once the weather gets better:-rofl2 I will peak the signal.

A quick look at the old 2300 once it was off and it had swung around to 70e.
I had never sent it to that position, so it looks like it got lost before it gave up the ghost

I will have a look at the 2300 when I get some more spare time and see why it failed

Quick delivery and resolution.

It would be good to see the interior of the 2300, once I get confirmation from customer it's OK to dismantle the one I have here I'll do same

An update to this thread,
My TM2600 has now stopped working:( just under a year from installing it.

I just recently replaced the LNB to an Inverto Premium Twin PLL on Saturday and since then the problems started.
I was getting picture break up and tried to peak the signal with DiSEqC 1.2 switching from USALS.
Then this morning it just stopped responding.

I switched back to the previous LNB with no joy
The 2nd tunner which is on fixed 28e was swapped over and the issue was still the same
Tried another reciever and the issue was the same
Even flashed another image and still no good.

Tried to reset the motor and nothing, with just reciever cable plugged in the motor LED is green.
Plug the LNB cable in and LED goes off.

The cable run is just shy of 50M and has been in since 2008, decent WF 100 or 125 cable.
I tried remaking all ends and new connectors.

I am going to try on a shorter cable run outside when I get some time and dry weather
The dish is ground mounted so easy enough to get to.

Does anybody have any other things that I could try?

Is it possible to take the motor down and try it on a short cable next to the receiver?

It is easier to take a reciever and bring it to the motor/dish.
Just need to work out something to view it on via HDMI.

Might have to dig out the old TM500 and use the small CRT TV I used back in the day :)

Just a thought, I might try the TM500 at this end and see if it can drive the motor.
Would rule out enigma 2/cable run

I found the issue that was giving my motor issues and some picture break up.

The cable run to the bottom of the garden where the dish is located is 'cleated' under the bottom rail.
My short term plan was to pull this cable back to the top of the garden and setup and test out my camping dish.

Pulled it enough to pull out the cleats then about 4 pulls later the cable came loose, with a wrap of black tape around it.
I have no idea how this happend at all and can not remember doing this???

Managed to get a temporary fix on this by joining with a barrel connector to a new bit of RG6 to the motor and all is well again.

Plan is to repalce the full length with some 125 which I have in hand now and when the weather gets better.
Might try and use some plastic conduit and run the cable inside it down the line of the fence just incase :)
