New freesat box no signal tried the tips in here but no luck

Freesat box 4k
My Location
Scotland
Bought the freesat 4k box to replace sky, which supports wide band. I can't get the box to pick up a signal, tried the tips I read on here with no luck it's updated to the latest software as well. Plug sky box in and it works!

Technomate 5402 HD M2 Ci, DM7000s, Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Promax HD Ranger+ spectrum analyser.

Did it do a retune when you plugged it in, if not, then try it a couple of times? You say it's on the latest software, I had one which was supposed to be, but leaving it on channel 999 overnight when coonnected to a universal quad updated it properly and in the morning, rebooted, then swapped the LNB for a wideband, but of course you may not have that facility.
