New here need advice

Hi

new here, hope this is the right forum.

We are looking at buying a new tv.....they have moved on since we bought ours many years ago.

I am a little confused or thick or both so here goes.2

All the TV's I have seen tend to have a freeview built in. Now we have sky+. So my question is.....does one interfere with the other. does it make a difference putting the two together. Can not seem to find a TV without this.

Also with all the leads ect, what additional cables do I have to buy,

Needs to connect with DVD and Sky+ box which is coming in 2 weeks.
Any advice would be appreciated

Welcome to satellites,

Yes, this is the right forum and you'll receive plenty of help for sure.

Due to the digital switch over slowly happening across the Uk, most TV's now sold will have a integrated 'freeview' tuner for reception. As you'll have satellite you most likely won't be using the freeview option on your TV so simple scart connection from Sky receiver to TV will be fine and won't interfere.

Your more than likely have several source inputs for DVD, satellite etc.

You may need to buy a few extra 21 pin scart cables

If its not too late may I suggest looking at Panasonic sets. Some have Freesat built in
