[QUOTE="chrislloret, post: 132375, member: 175892"] Well,I do not know the BBC report, but I had 2 iPods till now. The first (gen2) lasted in my tests about 12h, so 3-4 days and that means to me,that in that time I got to sleep somehow and normally I can recharge the thing. The iPod I got now (4gen) lasts easy 1 week, but as I said, I'm really not out of the house AND listening to music for more then 8h at the time, I think eventually your ears would give up. The battery "problem" everybody is so concerned about seems to be the high price Apple asks for a replacement. They charge I think 79Euros (about 50pounds). However, I changed the batterie on my first iPod for 39dollars! and got the 15h one,its not an Apple product,it lasts longer and costs half. I do not see this as a problem. I think that it would be much more difficould for me to put my music collection by hand on to a device and trying to organise it. For me the success of the iPod is not the design or the price (the nano now is I think the cheapest on the market) but the concept of the software working so well with the hardware, also I can boot my (or any other) computer from the iPod and so I have always my ENTIRE system anywhere with me and that is just cool.
