A 56k dial-up is pretty slow these days whereas a braodband connection is fast and can mask shortcomings in many PCs.Anyway for what I mentioned above you could get a good spec PC, even with a DVD and a CD writer and a 17&quot; monitor for around six to seven hundred quid.
