I am looking into buying a sat system to pick up live English Footy, and would appriciate any advice on buying.

What gear would I need?
How much for a reasonable system?
Is there any extra subscription fees?
Or any other advice.

Any help for a complete novice appreciated. Cheers.

Well basically you will need a motorised sytem and with surfing the web you should be able to find a satellite specialist near you, prices for a good complete system will range from about £450.00 upwards. As for the footy there are quite a few channels that broadcast our Premiership live FTA (Free To Air) and saturday afternoon K.O's, if your a footy fanatic like me check out this site.. http://www.knplogic.co.uk/sport/ this should get your mouth watering!...this will show just how many games are televised every day. But last of all dont rush in and buy the first sat system you see, but do some research first and of course ask as many questions as you like on this forum as we will be only to happy to help you!. :-).....WR

There is one other thing of course m8...check your location meaning if you are able to receive Satellites and where you would be planning too mount the dish, keeping in mind the minimum size you will need to mount is 90cm!
