Red Bull's chief technical officer Adrian Newey was awarded an OBE (Officer of the Order of the British Empire) for services to motorsport by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in a ceremony at Windsor Castle on Tuesday. Newey's Red Bull cars have won the constructors' title for the past two seasons and he has previously designed machines that have taken titles for Williams and McLaren.Former Formula One driver Nigel Mansell, who won the 1992 world championship in the Newey-designed Williams FW14B, was also in attendance at the ceremony. Mansell received a CBE (Commander of the Order of the British Empire) from Her Majesty the Queen for services to children and young people in his role as president of charity UK Youth.
