I just tried two options and i hope i can answer your questions more explicitly. I put in 1 single cable in H low (#2). I get a list of 198 channels, TV and radio (free channels). The list of channels is generated automatically and virtually all are HD (the existing channel list is erased when i do a scan). About 30% are "service not available " channels. About 17 are just labeled "." and 10 are "SES 01" 02, 03, 04 ... and about 10 more are doubles (the same channel more than once). A nice high quality collection of 157 channels including radio channels. After that test I added another cable in H high (#1). The result is a loss of all the channels from before and a new set of 381 channels. After deleting all the doubles there were 118. Here is a short list:

RTL television (from the website list: 10532 H)
SAT.1
VOX
ProSieben (from the website list: 108312 H)
Kabel eins
Super RTL (from the website list: 12188 H)
Phoenix HD
Disney Channel (from the website list: 10803 H)
SIXX
SAT.1 Gold
Yes I use " auto tuning" which searches and saves channels (old list is erased). There is also an option for Manuel tuning I think that is most of the answers. Regarding "network scan" I found lists of satellites I can choose. I tried to isolate on only astra 19.2. Here are a few of the windows in the menu. That's my status. There are at least 2-3 channels in each of the V low, V high and H high ranges which I would like. It is not easy. Thanks for all the help to figure this puzzle out.
