I have a dreambox and wanted to try something that did not require an internet connection.
I had a "number 1" satellite receiver installed, which has two LNB inputs, one for the satellite signal to watch and the signal for the discramble signal (asian satellite I think), or at least so I think.
I was supposed not to upgrade this receiver, but it seems that every other week I have to call this technician (scammer) to "fox" it.
I have tested dish network in the US and would like to ask if there is any tutorial for these systems since I feel helpless and do not mind reading so that I can discover how I can RS 232 this baby and upgrade the keys if it is what is using.

Sorry, I am a newbie to this one.

Its not using keys within the box so theres nothing to mod on the box. The keys are carried on the data stream on the second lnb input.

Basically you have bought into a commercial pay tv decryption service and therefore under the forum rules discussion of the system or any help is absolutely and completely forbidden.

Basically if you are fed up of paying the bloke who can sort it then stop paying - but you will have to do without the pay channels :D
