All this talk of digi radio now....any links to where this is all explained?

I can't get my head around the fact that a little box can pick up sat signals without a dish...are there likely to be the same type of restrictions imposed by sat footprints?

Cheers

If you mean DAB radio, this is transmitted on different frequencies entirely, not satellite - The old band III (174 - 240 MHz) and L-Band (1432 - 1492).

Most receivers have their own aerial to pick up the signal from local or national transmitters.

See h**p://www.radio-now.co.uk/national.htm#natcomm

for more information.

There is also the Worldspace transmissions that do use satellite, for which you need a dedicated receiver. This is available from the Afristar and Asiastar satellites. Afristar footprints and programme info for Europe can be found here -
