I just scored a remote for these so I have grabbed mine out of the shed - they were used with ihugs failed digital tv operation back in 1999/2000 or so.

Anyway, they are crashing, unreliable pieces of junk - I suspect it is all a software issue since it gets lock ok, just will only show some channels if I put the pids in myself and just crashes when I do a transponder scan.

Now I remember that there were loads of software tweeks needed back when ihug had the tv service so I am hoping that someone out there has a generic firmware for them rather then the one I have in these (10.19)

Also, there is no proper way to edit the satillite info on them. I have tried ODSedit but it doesnt want to talk to it, and the installation menu has reciever upgrade grayed out so I cant select it which one of the other apps I tried suggested.

So if there is a way to get these doing something useful I would be grateful, otherwise I will just have to bin them since they will only get a couple of channels off optus D1 (freeview) that I dont want.

Welcome to the forum richms

Perhaps you had better post a photograph of this stb as personally I have never heard of it, but it could be a clone of something else which may get recognised by doing so and hence someone have firmware.

Having had a look on Google the stb appears very old 1999 is this the one
