Today's pick is WAQT News 4047V, usually much more pixellated than this but even with heavy overcast skies it's producing reasonable video.

Hi - Don,t recall seeing this one before :)
Capital TV --4185 v 2799 7.1 db -- ignore date and time on pic - screenshot was taken last night around 9.00 p.m. --- still there now but only 6.00 db at the moment

Did a quick search last night single stepping as I have no stored reference for Paksat currently...with Capital parameters in the F15 ..
got the tiniest of hints approx 0.3db at roughly 38E ..and thats all ..
:(
This footprint drops dramatically crossing the UK East to West ..
Nelson getting some fringe around 6db ...but next to nothing here...
And I can't even blame the troublesome tree ...
..as it is fully nude of leafage now.

This is such a strange satellite as today's scan has shown up Hope TV on 4172V, another new one for me and at a healthy 6.6dB SNR.

And according to flysat this channel should have left.
 
hi all been sorting out my dish,lowered my main bar so that the c-band is free from any interference also done away with cable in one sat receiver then out into another losing to much signal also tuned the lnb for maximum signal anyway I tried this sat awhile ago picked up Pakistan radio on 4031V at 5.2db,Mehran TV 4180V at 5.7db,A-Lite on 4042V at 5.3db,Capital TV on 4186V at5.0db,ATV on 4081V at 6.1db and last 92 News HD on 4023V at 5.5db,i have noticed the signal is increasing so may try other channel later.P3110030.webp P3110031.webp P3110032.webp P3110033.webp P3110034.webp
 
With a cheap Chinese LNB-"Eurostar", I was able to receive many transponders with 1.5 m antenna in my area.

When it comes to receptions,each of us wants to be as close to a spot or another if possible with a smaller antenna. In this case, geography is a blessing for some, for others a curse :)That's the sadness of any dxer: overcome spatial boundaries with antenna as large as possible!But that cost a lot of money...

True but at least with all the input from peeps on this forum we have a mountain of info on what is going on around us and like we are, we have to try as dxers, to squeeze the maximum from our setup....when we succeed in a 'new find' you all know the feeling and satisfaction derived. respect-057.GIF

PakSat is a no go here but the thread is a good read.
