Sad to read that snooker player Paul Hunter has died from cancer at the age of 27 (well he would have been 28 on Saturday). I saw him play a few times and he seemed such a nice guy with a friendly smile in what is a really cut-throat and tough sport.

I think he may have made world champion one day.

I second that - he would definitely have been World Champion had this terrible disease not taken him.

Thoughts with his friends and family.

As for the sport of snooker, this is another hammer blow in its recent demise. Hunter was so well loved and admired for his youth, and more importantly, his personality which shaped him as a professional. Unfortunately, I fear that all to many players have their personalities shaped by the profession instead.
