You know, sometimes you're just in a rush.

I finished this installation with 4 minutes to go until kick-off!
When I connected it to the receiver, there was only six inches of cable to spare. Sometimes a plan just comes together. :)

The truth is, I bought this dish on the strength of one Champions League game.

Sure it'll come in useful though!

Better give the Mrs. her clothes prop back I suppose... and then go put that tyre back on my bike...

Where do you think I got the idea? :D

I'm sure that Triax will start selling a tyre-mount version soon...

HeHe. Thats a 1.1M. You just need a bigger tyre!

@ jimbo, I took ages getting the 'tracking' right. I'd hate to have uneven tread wear...O-no

I should patent this dish on a tyre idea :D Thers quite a few "temporary" installations around now that I know of, and there must be quite a few more from folks experimenting.

One of the 80cm dishes is sitting on an old Landrover tyre. Maybe I'll nick that one to put the 1m on Just temporarily of course.

Stick - what sat have you got it pointing at for your footy?

I've got a motorised dish, but it can't see further west than 1deg, so I bought this dish specifically to get the football on 30W (Sport TV).

My motorised dish swings between 13E (TPS/Multi) and 1W (Canal+) for the football, but can also make it round to 19.2E and anywhere in between.

'Why did you put your dish in such a stupid place?' I hear you ask. Well, it was there when I moved in (pointed at 19.2E) and I just motorised and resized it. It's completely hidden from everyone :) .

I'm going to build a mobile, adjustable tripod-come-cart for the 1.1M so that I can easily point it at 1W, 30W, 5E etc. The rest of the time, it can be 'parked' round the side of the house out of the way, and out of sight of the nosey neighbours.
