Seriously contemplating alternatives to existing (diminishing) footy possibilities ATM.

Maybe even an ART subscription

Other possibilities include the Diema channels on 1W.

I can just scrape a signal on my 88cm dish on the south coast here, but not watchable. Anyone get these on a 1.1M dish down this way?

I get about 20% signal, but keeps dropping below threshold.

Don't want a banging signal, just enough to get them in reasonable weather.

Experiences anyone?

Isnt football that pass-time with two teams of eleven chasing a round ball on a pitch ?

If so theres much too much of it already , a lot on the FTA Arabic channels.

Hi BGonaSTICK
have just added Diema to 1W and get between 65 and 70% signal.
This is in Clacton on Sea with 1.2mt dish, CN channels not opening. but good clear reception on FTA.

Ahh, now you see 'too much' and 'football' are, according to the laws of both physics and English grammar, not allowed in the same sentence.

Arabic TV is not showing any English football ATM, whereas Diema+ is!

I've just checked my Dreambox, and can get a very cruddy pixellated image on BBT with an indicated signal strength of about 65% and similar for Diema, but I think that the latter might not be transmitting any actual pictures ATM. My SS2 shows an indicated 20% on the same dish, so I'm not taking the actual readings too seriously.

Thanks for your report loftyj. I'm thinking of asking Santa for a Triax 1.1M for Chrimbo. I'd rather pay an extra £50 for that than a card!

I think if I go any bigger it might knock next-doors gnomes over mid-arc!

Sure, I can get TPS/Multi/1W plus all the other bits, but the Newcastle game tomorrow is only on Diema+

Bu99er!

That's me down the pub then.

Remember Spit the Dog?

That's what I do everytime someone mentions $ky to me!

I'm not moaning, just want to maximise my viewing. Who wouldn't?

Actually, while I'm back on this ol' thread, I managed to get a 25% signal off of both BBT (which I know has now moved, but is still transmitting a testcard) and the Diema channels when the weather was good, and found a rather intersting problem.

Now this may be related to signal strength still, but I was getting an 'Invalid key 21' message on the Diema channels. Other channels OK, but not these.

I tried various bits of software and stream monitors, but same thing.

Tried fiddling with my s*ftcam file and various keys etc. No change.

Is there any simple answer to this?

@ loftyj,

Stoopid question, but you ARE decrypting the Diema channels OK? ... and using the same KEY21 as t'other channels?

This is bugging me now...

Thx m8

To answer my own question, apparently Diema + and Diema 2 are part of the 'Bulgarian' package, as opposed to the 'Nordic' package on 1W, use different keys, and they are unknown. So poop to that then.
