I have a Technomate TM2600 motor but despite doing up the cross bolt as tightly as possible there is still a few degree play in the motor arm so with a bit of wind it shifts. I've got a spare one which when done up tightly feels solid. Before I go through the pain of switching them over any ideas to what i can do? Seemed to happen when we had those strong winds so i suspect it needs stripping down to work out the issue

A little less analogue, and a lot more crap.

I can't recall if the original 2600 had a backlash adjustment. Do you have any other detail , Mk1/2/3 or age/serial number ?

It's the M3. Nope been up there but no obvious issue, I'll replace it with my other one and strip it down to see if it can be fixed and kept for backup

I am considering upgrading my triax 110 up a primesat 1.1 aluminium dish at the same time. The triax bracket is the most frustrating thing ever that makes me resent going up on the roof to tweak things after strong winds

I thought i'd cracked it but it's a lottery fine tuning it on weak transponders, one turn of a bracket nut too far and signal drops from full to nothing. I've just had enough of it now so going to give the Primesat 1.1 a go. Measures ever so slightly larger than the Triax but is lighter as it's Aluminium, bit concerned with the lnb arm design in the wind but will add some metal struts for stability

What were the wind issues you had with the 1.2 Laminas?

hey mate - it just used to move on the motor stub in strong winds.
maybe i could have used some rubber wrapping to stop it, but i wanted to go down the 36v route in the end.
a great dish tho - no -one wants to buy it
