from Turksat, Hellas sat, Eutelsat 36E,Arabsat or Hispasat at all. Does anyone know why this is happening?

I can receive Astra, Hotbird, Eutelsat 16E, EutelSat 7E Sirius 5E and Thor 1W.

How come I can receive some satellites but not others?

I am very confused. Any help would be much appreciated.

May be one of several things - if only the sats West of 1 deg then your dish is not set up correctly on the arch.

If some sat from both East and West then it could be signal strenght from your location. The sats you are getting are high power and the easiest to receive.

Were you getting the others and have now lost them?

I have a big 1.1 metre dish and could get all the satellites a couple of days ago. I don't understand what has happened.I could get all the satellites a couple of days ago.

Strong winds?

Has your mount/pole moved?

There were some strong winds yesterday, very strong. But, if anything had moved surely I wouldn't be able to get ANY satellites.
So, what are the next steps I should take?

Thanks in advance and sorry about the double post.

That may not be the case..
If you are only getting things in the centre of the arc, then that would suggest that your setup elevation has changed.

But not on your dish.
as you say if your dish has moved mm or two, then you get the same sats but at a much reduced signal as your arc is tracking correctly but a little high.

However if your mount has moved by the same amount then the symptoms you describe would probably be more the case, where you are not describing an arc relevant to your lattitude.

Your mount has probably been blown a mm or two upwards as most dishes are mounted below centre. Try that first. :)

Could that explain why I can't get CNBC-E and the other channels on the same gfrequency because there are a few channels on Torksat and a lot of channels on Arabsat that I couldn't get when I were able to get these satellites. Is that why? Does evelation have to be spot on to get every single channel available on all satellites?

Could well be the case,

You need to get the O/P shaft of the motor spot on before you do anythng else.
as mentioned if you get some but not all of the transponders you are expecting for your location and size of antenna then your elevation may be suspect (assuming that your azimuth is correct). the short answer is yes you may have been close but not dead on and this wind movement has exasperated the situation as we know that all satellites have strong and weak transponders.

Look upon it as a chance to get it absolutely right .:D

Let us know how you do:)
