I would try clearing the nvram from the secret diag screen.
With the receiver turned off with the front panel button,press and hold the front panel power and ch up buttons at the same time until the ---- shows on the display then release. Select clear nvram from the menu.After that, cycle power with the power switch in back.When the receiver boots,you will have to select the default language ect.
