I just bought some "shelly plugs" which are basically remotely operated switches, with inbuilt
power meters. The switches connect t local mosquitto server running on raspberri pi
and send the current consumption every few seconds.
A program called MQTT Explorer then can show the results

I also bought a new PC. So all of this gave me the opportunity to test power consumption of some TBS cards.
The streacom plot hows an older "silent pc" which has a huge number of disks, and a tbs6909x card. It
runs tvheadend and kodi. At the time of the screenshot, it was being used for viewing channel 4.
All of this takes about 42 Watt.

The tuf is a new gaming pc. It has a tbs6916 (16 tuners) and a tbs 6909xv2 (8 tuners),
but is currently in idle mode (on but no programs running, although there is of course some
background operating system activity). This takes about 35 Watt. The tbs6916 has a fan
which is always running.

It is a bit cumbersome to remove cards, and I did not spend a lot of time on measring,
but I suspect the idle power consumption of the tbs6909x to be below 5 Watt and that of the
tbs6916 even lower, despite the larger number of chips and the fan.

This is with the neumo drivers. The original TBS drivers often leave a lot of equipment (such as the lnb)
powered on when not in use.

I also put the new computer tuf in suspend mode. Then the consumption drops to 2 Watt.
In this state, or even when it is fully off, it is possible to wakeup the computer using "wakeonlan"
and using its real time clock.

The PC has room for more cards, so it would be possible to go to 32 or 40 tuners at least :->

I have been testing the newest neumoDVB drivers with tvheadend on this system and discovered
a few more bugs. They will be released soon, as will a new version of neumoDVB
