McLaren and Ferrari continued their fight for supremacy at Nurburgring on Friday afternoon, in a session rendered slower after a lunchtime deluge washed away much of the rubber laid in the morning.
Lewis Hamilton had the fastest time of 1m 33.478s up until five minutes from the end, despite a spin in Turn 10 and another off in Turn Five in his McLaren. But then, right at the end, Kimi Raikkonen went ahead for Ferrari with 1m 33.339s.
