Problems with card and Sky 3

I don't want to open a new topic but has anyone ecountered this problem ? I have 7 freesat cards in the house and all of them say '' This is the wrong card for this set top box '' on several boxes on just the Sky 3 channel . ????

Did you activate the cards in those particular boxes and keep them in the same boxes?

Can anyone tell me what has happened with SKY Three. Until yesterday it was running free to view & now when i go on to the channel it states this is the wrong card for the set top box. Has it now gone on to subscription package and if so what package as i have a family pack?

Is your sky digibox the one which was paired with the card? Someone else has mentioned the same problem on several boxes, but mine with a full package and paired to the box is working fine.

PS. Merged the two threads now, to see if anyone else has the problem.

Let's not jump to conclusions - I have read on another board of at least one person who has lost it off a family package sub. Sly have probably just screwed up the encryption.

Also, if Sky HAD taken it off ftv, don't you think they would have announced it beforehand?

Also it looks like any of mine will not become active anymore and i don't know if sky will pair any old card with any box if it's not purchased from them . I've had a couple of cards and boxes running for 48 hours and nothing , no ch4 or 5 . They're up to something wich again will outrage the licence payer ; digital swichover .....

Just tested my card using my sly box and sly three works ok, although I'm not getting it on my dreambox atm... will try a reboot after I have finished updating the software in my doggybox (been a while since it was last used so I thought I'd take he opportunity to keep it up to date)

I have the same problem.

I noticed that Sky Three was not working in my DreamBox yesterday. I thought it needed an update and I left the card overnight and all day today in the original Pace Digibox on Sky One.

This is a legal card paired to the orginal Digibox.

Sky Three works fine in the Pace but will still not clear in the DreamBoax 7020.

I've done a hard restart on the DB but still the same.

I've also checked for a frequency change etc... but could not find any mention of one for this channel.

Anyone have any ideas were I should go next??

Maybe, but I can't see it being much of a problem for the file guys to sort it out again if sly do try something on a bigger scale. Atm noone is going to bother about losing sly 3.

Plus they would be on rocky ground if they tried it on the olther non-sky ftv channels, e.g. ch4 and five, as it could be seen as anti-competetive practice.

sky three working fine here on my dreambox, both on my FTV and my Irish Family Pack card (tested seperately)......
