My Satellite Setup
Work in progress
My Location
Slavonska Požega
Hi all,

Although I am a fresh member of the satellite forum, I have been dealing with satellite receivers for more than 35 years and I happily remember the analog days, D2MAC from Thor and Sirius, daily programming of homemade PIC cards and so on.
The last thing I used was a NOKIA receiver with a built-in hard disk, which was a real rarity back then...
But without further ado, can someone tell me or direct me to information about the current situation. What makes sense to watch, which satellites and programs, is anything being hacked and what equipment is in trend.

Greetings to all

That's a hugely Broad question which is probably best dealt with in the first instance by reading extensively across the Forum.

Once you have a handle on things, I'm sure Members will be happy to address more specific questions.

As for hacking, we only deal with legitimate issues here at Satellites.co.uk

I've been at it even longer.

I advise that you think of an Enigma 2 receiver, which can take an internal hard drive, and allows you to use it for KODI.

What is your current dish set up? Or are you starting again?

Satellites have improved a lot, regarding spot beams, which means that some transponders aren't as easy to receive, as they once were, so check the beam maps, for your location.

What type of channels are you trying to get, and in which languages?
